Is Microblading A Tattoo?
One main difference between tattooing and microblading is what each procedure places under the skin. Tattoo ink and microblading pigment are very different substances, and they react differently over time. Microblading uses special pigment that fades after a certain length of time before dissipating altogether.
In microblading, pigment is deposited right above the dermis into the basal layer of the epidermis, to a depth of only 0.08mm to 0.15mm.
The deeper into the dermis layer you go the longer it will last. This is why we work on the epidermis of the skin. It makes for a more natural, crisp look. It also makes it fade quicker and causes less scarring.
